Region: Alentejo
Country: Portugal
When going for a classical, solid Alentejo wine in the 10/15€ range this is a really safe choice.
Garnet in color, the nose gives us red fruit (mostly blackberries), along with some jam and sweet notes. In the background, a hint of vanilla composes a rich and elegant bouquet.
In the mouth, it is a well structured, balanced wine. Very easy to drink and round, with velvety tannins and a good structure. The fruit and jam are present throughout the taste finishing in a medium length aftertaste.
A great example of an Alentejo red: fruity but not overly, structured but without any rough edges.
