Region: Alentejo
Country: Portugal
Showing a pretty dark ruby color, this 100% Alicante Bouschet shows lots of inviting ripe black fruits on the nose, along with clear toast and smoky notes.
Round bodied, with a sustained acidity and showing some balanced tannins that help give it some structure, this wine is a good example of a food-friendly Alentejo, with lots of ripe fruit, soft but still managing to carry some power that takes it to another level. Good persistence leaving an aftertaste of black fruits and wood.
