A recent wine from an established Douro Producer, this white wine failed to impress me. Light yellow in color, it only showed some hints of wood and fruit at first. After a while, it opened up a bit and the wood felt stronger, right along boiled apples and pears.
On the mouth, it felt a bit out of balance. Acid and dry, the alcohol was too present in the taste and the finish was brief. Given time, the fruit started showing a bit more in the mouth, implying that maybe I drank it too cold or that it should have been decanted.
