Region: Douro
Country: Portugal
The first Reserva for this brand - part of the Lavradores de Feitoria portfolio - this is a good solid choice for a Douro in the 10€ range.
Dark ruby in color, the nose is mainly wild red berries, backgrounded by some spices and a vanilla presence. All very inviting and accessible.
In the mouth, a balanced and tuned wine. Well tamed tannins go hand in hand with a notable, fresh acidity. Well structured without being a full bodied wine, it exhibits quality red fruit and finishes long in a spicier note (and maybe a touch of caramel).
Very well made and a good price/quality ratio.
