Region: Dão
Country: Portugal
Interesting bouquet on this white from the Dão, with the usual ripe white fruits, a bit of pineapples, oranges/citrus notes and a strong oaky background - vanilla/coconut.
Slightly less expressive to the taste, it's an average bodied wine, with controlled acidity and showing a good balance between the fruit and the oak. Finish has some citrus notes and is able to convey some freshness but it feels a bit short. Some interesting smoky/oaky notes linger on the aftertaste.
Overall, an honest, solid white wine at a reasonable price.
