Region: Sancerre
Country: France
A lovely white Sancerre, the nose has the usual vegetable, grassy feel along with not very sweet tropical fruits - guavas sprang to mind. A very mineral streak in the background gives it depth and complexity.
Dry in the palate, with a lot of citrus, lemony notes that were not present in the nose, this wine shows a lot of structure despite not being at all heavy. Elegant and poised, it finishes long with the lemony side to the foreground but with lingering vegetable and tropical fruits in the background.
