Region: Alentejo
Country: Portugal
An exclusive bottling for a portuguese wine magazine, this Alentejo from Paulo Laureano - well known both for its own brand and his winemaking for several top brands in Portugal - is a nice, young red.
Clear ruby to the eye, the nose is filled with red ripe plums with a hint of spices and a touch of toast.
Very inviting and round in the mouth, not overly structured but showing a good tannic structure and a good balance between the ripe red fruits and a fresh acidity that gives it life. Fruit-forward to the end, where a good length finish brings out some vanilla notes.
