Region: Douro
Country: Portugal
A bit closed in the nose at first, it slowly opens up to red wild fruits notes, along with some oaky/vanilla impressions. Very balanced and poised.
The taste is also very balanced, showing a good, medium structure with the right amount of acidity, tannins that are still present and notes of red fruit and oak all throughout the taste. A balanced, honest, somewhat austere wine, a classical Douro.
Decant it a hour ahead to allow it to breathe, since it needs some time to open up, and it will be very enjoyable.
