Region: Alentejo
Country: Portugal
A classical Alentejo, this wine from Évora has a dark, concentrated ruby color.
Very elegant and distinct in the nose, achieving a nice balance between the sweet, intense red fruit typical of this region of Portugal and good toast/coffee notes, with some spices thrown in for good measure.
The same feeling of elegance continues in the palate, with a round, smooth body with velvety tannins - giving it some serious structure - and a fresh acidity that keeps it lively. Quite a lot of red fruit in the mouth that is already quite integrated with the oak and spices that also appear. Long, elegant and smooth finish.
