Ramos Pinto Vintage 2007

17.5 / 20
Producer: Ramos Pinto
Region: Porto
Country: Portugal

Dark purple, this 2007 vintage has a intense, concentrated bouquet. Some chemical and mineral notes, loads of red berries and a strong sense of rockroses mark the nose.

As usual for vintages this young and specially from 2007, this has an immense structure, with hard, strong tannins which are matched in intensity by the fresh acidity and an astonishing quantity of red berries. Very vigorous, this finishes in a long and imposing way.

Definitely, a vintage to keep for a long time, although it can be tasted right now, if you serve it slightly chilled and give it some decanter time (some 2 or 3 hours).
