Nice balanced chardonnay from the Alentejo - not an usual find. Pale golden in color, the bouquet opens with citrus suggestions, green apples - fresh, slightly acid fruit. A mineral, rocky impression tags along and later on, the creamy, vanilla and dried almonds from the oak start to appear. All very elegantly composed in a really enjoyable bouquet.
The elegance continues to show in the taste - dry and with a good acidity, it is balanced by a creamier, fuller body that never overpowers the wine finesse. A good finale rounds up the taste for one of the best known - and older - wine producers in the Alentejo.
